This show didn't need a ''Gladys Kravitz''
Having a "Gladys Kravitz" defeated the purpose of the premise of the show. Why have a show about missing parental figures if the next door neighbor is a nosy parental figure who drops in a lot?!
The reason I started watching this show is because it was marketed as being about young people taking care of even younger people and to me it looked better than "Party of Five" (which I rarely watched). I was excited about seeing what kind of adventures these young people would be having........
Then walks in this show's equivalence of 'Gladys Kravitz' and any hope I had of fun adventures, zoomed right out the window. I have nothing against Mo Gaffney or the original Gladys Kravitz, but for this show having a character like that caused this viewer to tune out. Seeing how the show was cancelled before season 2, I suspect others felt the same way.
