One Question!

There's a scene about mid-film where Szeto and Cynthia are in a room together. A little while after she returned his dead girlfriend's bloodied telegram back to him, I believe. She is at the window smoking a cigarette and he seems to be sitting on a bed across the small room. They are unusually calm and content with eachother for the events that have transpired. Szeto also wears an interesting expression on his face. What exactly was happening in this scene? What went on between them? What was it supposed to portray for their relationship to eachother?

Ms Zhang told the reporters at one of the movie screening, that there was a "exciting love scene" between Szeto and Cynthia but the director cut it out.

I thought that the love scene that was cut was between Cynthia and Itami. Supposedly the chinese authorities didn't want to see a japanese having sex with a chinese woman. Therefore that scene didn't make the final cut.

But maybe another scene that involved Cynthia and Szeto was cut as well. who knows?
