Movie Help Please!!!!

I am looking for a movie where the main person goes by a prison number name, and he wear black. He is of asian or japanese descent in the movie. He has a sword and carries a gun and in the movie he kills zombies, demons and other stuff like that. It was made in 2000 or 2001, it is kinda like ichi the killer, but not exactly as bloody. Once again the main dude where along coat, trench I think and goes by a prison number xr316 something like that. So if anyone of you can help me with this I would really appreciate it.
