what was the deal with his wife?

ok from what i can gather,he left her on the side of the road, then he crashed.in hospital he convinced himself that she had died.
OK but what happens then?the wife and sister hear that he thinks alissa died so they then pretend that she did,why doesn't he go to her grave so then?
the sister is supposed to have given him a video of the funeral(really Laurens paris's) but surely she doesn't think he is that dumb to fall for a totally different funeral?
All he has to do to find out if she is dead is go to a grave, ask for a death certificate,go to the church where the funeral was and ask the vicar,
it is all a bit daft really,
did the wife think it would work, what about if she wants to marry again?

what a bag of poo this film is

Same over here?? Why to make movies so difficult to understand??? It`s just terrible that there can even be wives SO COLDHARDED like in this movie!! God save us all and let us never meet such kind of women!!!!

In my humble opinion you don't seem to understand this movie. Just realize you see the world through HIS eyes, not yours. This powerful movie gives you an idea of the state a traumatised or paranoid person must be in, there is no reality or fiction, no logic as we see it. Look at your own questions, that are not the kind of questions he asks himself, they are of no relevance to him. A shame this movie gets such a low valuation.

And was he even married to Elise? Was she married to the agent (remember the pic on the TV)and having an affair with Ben who became a stalker when she broke it off? The sister acts like Ben is horrible for being so obsessed, but if they were married...was she trying to divorce him for the agent?

Did the agent of the world famous Lauren Pariss really walk into his apartment? What the hell was that about?

Did anyone else notice that in the mag photo when Ben was standing behind Lauren and her agent, that Elise was actually on the other side of the agent? You only see half her face. In the scene with the sister when she says "you weren't looking at Lauren in that picture" you can really see it.

I honestly think any good reviews this movie gets on IMDB have been written by studio interns whose job it is to write good reviews for movies on Yahoo, IMDB, and other review sites.

This movie was one of the most convoluted movies I've ever seen. I just wanted it to be over. The spider crawling out of her mouth at the end was ridiculous.
