Let's get real here (spoilers I guess)

How could Ben have ever left the hospital understanding that his wife was killed when she wasn't. Nobody told him that she was killed. He was always in the hospital, which he imagined was his new apartment. Amazingly his new gorgeous landlady just comes knocking on his door, she is somehow totally unattached and bestows
gifts on her new tenant. We never see any other tenants in the building except the creepy caretaker in the basement, who admits he worked there when the place was a hospital. The landlady's name is Charlotte, his aunts name, what a coincidence. He has a childhood fascination with Charlotte's Web. We never see
her and Ben with anyone else. We never see Ben's headshrinker, just him talking to himself. Ben becomes fascinated Lauren, the popular singer who was murdered, and his former wife worked with as a dancer. If a woman was found in the basement of the hospital, she was a victim of ??? who knows, and the detective
was just giving poor Ben the gears when he said her name was Charlotte. Face it, Ben was crackers, had been for some time and his former wife and family knew it, so did the detective.
