Not credible

I really like these kinda movies. when the filmbox said 'a film like 'memento'i went and rent it. I shouldn't have been so foolish as to believe what's on the cover of a DVD box...
In the beginning I really liked the movie and I found the idea of a paranoid man recording every bit of his life brilliant! I think Lee did a good job. Rachael stirling however was not credible at all! I dont know this actress and maybe she's done better in the past but it looked like it was her first acting job and she spoiled it for me. I'm sorry...

I hope other people did like this film.

Why do people say, "I'm sorry" if they don't like a film, or when they criticize a performance? Are they truly sorry, or are they actually thinking that their opinion is so powerful that it will hurt the film, or discredit anyone else's opinion of the film?

Don't be sorry for your opinion; it's your opinion and you have a right to believe what you want. Your opinion isn't going to keep someone from watching it, and it certainly isn't going to do any damage to this actresses' career. It's not like Hollywood producers (or U.K., or anywhere else) are sitting around and suddenly your opinion comes in over the wire, and they all go, "Oh, no! picthisgirl panned Rachael Stirling's performance in Freeze Frame, now we'll have to cancel all her contracts!" It's an opinion, one person's opinion and like buttholes we all have them. Right?

I like Rachael, this was hardly her "first acting job". She has 15 films and numerous TV appearances to her credit, not to mention many stints on the stage. Her mother is Diana Rigg, a fine actress with an illustrious career of over 40 years on stage, cinema and TV (with an Emmy and a BAFTA award).

Anyway, I thought her acting was first-rate and I enjoyed the film (and her performance) thoroughly. And I won't apologize for that.

The gal and the blood-spitting detective performed like they were in a high school play. However, the gal's sex scene with Lee Evans near the end was very persuasive, even though they were both fully clothed. Reminded me of Rachel Weisz getting it on with Jude Law in ENEMY AT THE GATES, also fully clothed. These are the moments when even marginal actresses can convince me of their talent. They don't have to get nude, they just have to "sell" the scene. Maria Bello, who happens to be a very good actress, has a wonderfully charged, fully-clothed sex scene with our favorite LORD OF THE RINGS actor in A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE -- on a stairwell, no less. I'll take these carefully staged, covered-up tussles over an adult film anyday.

Jesus i thought I recognised Rachel having been through the original Steed/Peel era of the Avengers. This was a great film, Lee Evans was outstanding.

Iagree w bladerunner, don't apologize for having an opinion. But "I hope other people did like this film," is knid of a stupid thing to say. You didn't have a good time so you hope other people are unhappy too? That's slightly self-absorbed, to say the least.
