this has to be the best unintentionally funny movie ive ever seen. the scene where cain and the blonde chick do it, and then in the next scene cain looks at a picture of his family is one of the funniest things i have ever seen.. very very funny..

1. Seats in those APCs are made from office chairs.
2. Office chair seats move across the floor of the APC.
3. The badges say "NUNS". Nuns didn't save the world any time before, did they?
4. APCs are made totally off-scale. When they're cruising through the bridge, barriers aren't higher than half of the tracks' height.
5. Americans use German-made HK33s while the whole Germany is covered with 50-odd feet snow.
6. Attached to the APC is something looking like a huge barrel on a sleigh. It moves and nobody knows why!
7. Oooops, the Americans aren't using HK33s, they suddenly have M16s!
8. The bad guy looks like a hippie and behaves like he's completely stoned and after watching Full Metal Jacket.
9. Instead of "Mecca", "Baghdad", "Abu Dhabi", "Teheran", "Damascus" or "Tripoli" the targeting computer says "Middle East".
10. The new President of the Rest of the World office looks like a throne room of an evil emperor straight from Flash Gordon.
11. They must have stolen the CGI sequences from Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun. Or any other decent computer game.
12. Oooops, the Americans weren't using M16s, but AKs re-made to look like M16s!

Stupid movies can be fun...But not all of them.
i dont know why or how movies like these get made, when movies that offer something new with potential get rejected by idiotic studio execs and producers.
shareHow about that dog? I think he saved the butts of at least 3 different people with well timed leaps, yet he's not house trained enough not to pee on the stairs of the Flash Gordon evil empire control room.

More stupidity -
13. Their APC just drops from the plane to the icy terrain and after couple of minutes the hot blonde says its tough to see in this twilight and the Col says "Ok you two get some rest. Let Scott drive". WTF ? Take a break at that moment?
14. No one flying the plane was a sudden unexpected thing like the sex scene. The blondie did have a nice rack.
15. They could know almost everything about the satellite (when its ready to fire, how long to fire etc. ) but they still don't have control of the satellite. Huh ?
16. After the ridiculous APC rescue in the -52C weather, Dean Cain wants to "go outside and get some fresh air" in the -52C weather. LOL.

I thought it was an okay TV movie.
I generally excuse the scale and FX problems of TV movies, but these didn't even bother me.
About the guns... I thought they had both HK 33s AND M-16s (don't care if the -16s are fake... like I said, TV movie). If the people in question are a mixture of various European militaries mixed with Americans, they probably use whatever weapons are at hand, especially since the 16s and 33s eat the same round. Frankly, I wouldn't have cared it they were waving Kalashnikovs around... those things are ubiquitous anyway.
I did think the NUNS acronym was one of the dumber ones I've heard, but they didn't use it as a gag, so I really didn't care one way or the other.
The Bad Guy, Hintze, bugged me some. I think they let him talk too long while saying very little. Probably the worst thing in the movie.
The scene where Cain bangs the blonde in the shower is a little sudden, true. Nevertheless, I offer the following arguments in favor:
A. She's hot.
B. He hasn't had any in a long time.
C. He suspects his family is dead, mainly just wants to KNOW for sure.
D. It's post-apocalyptic, and people probably are less uptight about taking what pleasure in life they can find.
E. She's hot.
