Saw a videoclip recently, where he performed Fairytale with some pop-chick, he didn't even look like or sound like the way he used to not so many years ago. Shocking, to say the least.
Well, I can tell you he was in vintage form Tuesday nigjt 3/6 at the Congress Theater in Chicago (second of two dates - the entire original lineup, or rather the lineup sans Cait O'Riordan - as it was from "If I Should Fall From Grace With God" until Shane left.
He greeted the crowd by saying, "Hello, you maggots!" and the band ripped right into "Streams of Whiskey." They played for about an hour 45 minutes, I think. Rip-roaring show, with the second encore ending in "Fiesta" (during which Spider Stacy, joined part of the time by Shane, smacked himself with an aluminum tray as in the early video clip in the movie.)

I went to that show, it was great, but I saw them in Vegas earlier on the tour and they were a little more tip top, I don't think tour exhaustion had quite kicked in, but the Chicago show was great, Shane in my hometown, love it.
