Why no mention of house music and ecstasy?

I watched this otherwise well-made documentary knowing very little about Shane McGowan, but was disappointed that the one thing I had previously heard about him was not mentioned. Namely his infamous fascination with acid house music and ecstasy culture. I'd always thought that it was interesting that he'd made a connection between Irish traditional music/drink and acid house/E. Any ideas why the filmmakers ignored this?

Cos they had no insight into the man and what makes him tick whatsoever?
