Just an awful, awful film....

Oh dear God, I have been a fan of horror all my life, and I enjoy crappy clown based horror as much as anyone (Clownhouse being my fave, I think). So when I saw this in Blockbuster and it had rave reviews on the box from horror magazines, I was fired up. I don't think I'll be trusting those reviews much after this one.

I cannot think of one thing that is good about this film. To say the acting is atrocious would be a bit of an understatement. The lead actress is not ALL THAT attactive, but her character thinks she the cat's pajamas and everyone is trying to get with her, which bothers me further. Her love interest in the movie is a very goofy looking, very rich guy who sews up his position as the worst actor in the film, followed closely by man who plays the police officer. The clown's face is intended to be scary with a half-evil smile painted on, but it just ends up looking ridiculous. And the dialogue!! I think my 8 year old niece could write a better script in an hour while watching Sesame Street. She definitely could have included a better plot, as this one makes little to no sense. And the "suspend disbelief" phrase has never had more meaning, because if you want to even have a prayer of enjoying this film, you have to throw to the side every lucid thought you have ever had.

Sadly, words cannot convey how bad this movie is.
