Anybody had a neighbor that almost drove you bonkers?

This happened to me. I called the cops on them. The cops tried to stop them. I got their number. I tried to stop them. Finally he moved out.
New people moved in and it's been peaceful since then.

Yeah, but not as bad... I lived in an apartment and every Sunday the guy below us would blast Black Sabbath really early in the morning.

Oh yeah I was in a similar spot. I ended up moving because I was seriously contemplating a violent solution.

New place is much nicer with higher ceilings and very good insulation. I never hear a thing now.

Now if only Trish Goff moved in to the place below me.....

A friend of mine has neighbors that live above him that do this. He mentioned before that they can be noisy and I thought, yeah ok. But then I experience it first hand over there. I don't know how this dude sleeps at night. There will be times it sounds like someone it sprinting back and fourth right above the room, its so crazy. MAkes you think there doing it on purpose or something

Yes, I think many of us have been there. It could be a neighbor that works a different shift, however, they are totally oblivious to anyone else within the community. I complained about a neighbor a few years ago because he made all types of noises. One day I decided to play my music at an optimum level to deter him from his bad behavior. I believe this upset him and he became worse. He began to give me nasty looks whenever he saw me. I alerted management and he realized I was the whistleblower. During his last night in the apartment, he played his music all night long. Fortunately for me he owned very inadquate musical equipment, so I was still able to fall asleep. :-)

I had my share of bad neighbors in one building in particular. The people upstairs were very quiet, but the tenants on my left would flush the toilet several times when I was in the shower, so I would be scalded. I started doing the same to them and they stopped. Obviously they got the message.
The girl on my right side was a college student who blasted music from her high powered stereo the minute she walked in the door. Her music was so loud, I would not be able to hear my TV or my own stereo. What was almost worse, she would buy a new CD and listen to it for weeks at a time. When I knocked at her door, she wouldn't answer because she couldn't hear the knocks. I alerted management and she was instructed to keep it down, but of course I was the bad guy. When things got out of hand I called the cops and she did end up moving out, because I was cramping her style.

Wow! it was 8 years ago when I posted this thread. Quite awhile ago.
