I just noticed that when Richard and 'Brian" are eating at the pub shortly after they just met and had begun to test each other's skills that the baseball game on the tv, even though this is in LA is featuring the Buffalo Bisons, being a Buffalonian I was greatly intrigued Ive always heard from some fo my professors and the like that there is a strong connection between Buffalo and Hollywood this is just one of those trace pieces of evidence that I have come across here and there, has anyone else noticed this?
i wonder who was the impetus on set or behind this film who decided to put the Bisons on the silver screen, not the first time ive seen the Buffalo Bisons on the silver screen btw. Does anyone know if they guy who adapted the screenplay is from Buffalo? I think his name is Greg Jacobs.

um...i dont know but im a bufalonian too and thats a little fun fact i guess.....i am very proud to live here and sometimes i dont feel we are recognized enough

My guess is they show a minor league game because the rights to show footage of a major league game would have been prohibitively expensive for an independent film. I suppose there may have been some decision to choose Buffalo as opposed to some other minor-league team, but I doubt it.
