You know what I'm sick of? (SPOILERS)

Almost every movie about con men or criminals, or even most independent films I've seen have the same twist ending. I've come to expect this kind of ending, and I was so relieved at first, when it seemed like it ended with Riley being captured. GOOD MOVIE right there, about two con men of different calibers working together and ending with the newer one learning what the life of crime leads to. INSTEAD, straight out of Matchstick Men (Another good movie, though the ending didn't feel as tacked on), OH SURPRISE the new guy is actually playing the other and EVERYBODY's in on it.
Anyone else? Or did you feel like it was a good addition?

Wow, you found my sig!

i agree the ending was odd and Matchstick men was much better, for the twist

It is such an old ploy. I think one of the best of this type was 'Big Deal in Dodge City' with Henry Fonda.

It was obvious that this film, Criminal, was going to end this way.

For the record, this is the remake of a movie released in 2000.
Matchstick Men came out in 2003.

I enjoyed this movie, but the ending seemed more forceful than I had hoped. Whereas Matchstick Men was shocking and made sense. Matchstick Men was a brilliant film with Oscar caliber performances. Criminal was a good solid Indie, enjoyable, but not great.
