i haven't seen the movie, but could anyone tell me how chrystal was permanently injured? in the info it says she was crippled but i don't see anything wrong with her in the trailer.

Joe was thrown from the car, but uninjured, the son was never seen again (they suspect an animal drug him off and ate him) and Chrystal was launched through the windshield and broke her neck. Her neck was fused at the spine and it damaged the nerves. That is how she became 'crippled'.
