Why the nosebleeds and what about the babysitter

I think it was explained in the movie that the nosebleed was a symptom of when Arlington was controlling people's minds and acting through them as a proxy. The babysitter was also being controlled but was fighting the mind control I think. The scene where she is running through the hotel and everybody is watching her is Arlington basically telling her she is in trouble for warning Arthur.
