Just watched it.

It's FANTASTIC, I cannot believe it was written so quickly, and made within a week.

Good acting, good dialogue, nice scenery/setting (The Temple), cool characters, nice sword fights, etc.

Great, just as good if not better than 'Versus', and far better than Azumi or Down To Hell - This director did an amazing job, particularly when looking at the fact that this was created SO quickly, the thought that someone can create something SO quickly, Is awesome, and proves that there are truly talented people out there, that creativity, imagination, and originality can come through to them in an instant and a flash, just right there on the spot.....that is when someones truly great.

Why is what is, the way it is?

I know, that's one of the many reasons why I like Ryuhei Kitamura so much. He seems to have the ability to make a film in a very short period of time, with a low budget, and can still make it a very good film.

Ahhh, I can't wait till Versus 2 comes out..

I died then I thought of you and came back to life.
How can you think if you're dead?

From the trailers this doesn't look too good. Is it good? Where is it compared to Alive and Versus?

Thanks!

reply

I'd say, only marginaly inferior to Versus.

Its it just me or at the end of his movies you go "Damn you for ending?!"?

Out of curiosity, whats the whole deal with the samurai "realizing" who he is, or something like that? I noticed that Kitamura's films have the hero going all Super Saiyan(God I can't believe I just made a DBZ reference ::kills self::) before doing final battle.

reply

Yeah, that's lame.....but damn this director, his action movies are TRUE action movies!

reply

Dude, this was in my opinion the best ending of all of the Kitamura movie's I've seen so far. The whole movie, it was rotating around these two guys, and then, one of them dies. You're expecting some typical ending to a samurai movie, but instead, you get a GREAT, kinetic, high-powered ending with Tak Sakaguchi! I loved it so much. Infact, it's one of my favorite endings to a movie.

reply

Hell yeah haha.

Look at Takao's face as the new Aragami. So evil and badass

Exactly!

im beggining to think the less money ryuhei kitamura has the better his films are.
