Glynn Turman and Vanessa Bell Calloway played Duane Martin's parents (towards the end of the series), just like they played his parents in the Inkwell. They must have done this on purpose.

I watched that movie again a few days ago and hadn't realized he was in it until then. It's interesting that those particular were actors were used as his parents.
