Danny and Sasha
Is it my imagination or does the show seem to be building towards some sort of relationship between Sasha and Danny?

His wife tried to kill him. I can guess exactly how she was feeling. Imagine being married to him...He is a pathetic saddo.
shareWasn't Danny going out with the Tracy-Ann Oberman character in the last series. I don't think it was all Danny's fault his wife tried to kill him.
I think Sasha would be too good for Danny, there is something arrogant about him.
Let's hope not. There is enough of all these partners in crime shows falling all over each other

The impression I got was Sasha has lost faith in men where relationship are concerned, and to some degree, herself. She already has a female friend to confide in, but the friend only tells her to find another man, which wasn't advice Sasha seemed ready to accept. Her team offers the possibility of a different perspective, without the risk of romantic involvement.
What she has to chose from is a problem. Danny likely seems best because comparing the problems of all three, he is the one that is devoted to his daughter and seemingly his wife (true or not, it would appear to be true.) So the only relationship I saw developing was confidant, or possibly father figure; as we don't know her family history, either is possible?
Jack Halford would have been a much better choice for Sasha, but she has to pick from what she's got. It helps that Danny is the only one of the three able to realize she has a problem.
I suppose season 12 provides the answers, but it's hard to imagine they would write in anything romantic between Sasha and Danny.
She is too young for him, or he is to old for her. Same difference. There are a lot of changes between forty-something and sixty-something.

I have no idea how old the characters are meant to be. There is only a nine-and a-half year age difference between Nick Lyndhurst and Tamsin Outhwaite.
Anyway, the show dropped that inkling of a plot development.

Even if they are going to go out together I never thought he was too old. I know Martin Kemp who played her husband in Eastenders was 9 years older than Tamzin Outhwaite no one said he was too old to play her husband.
