Ghostwatch and Most Haunted

I just finished watching Ghostwatch after people recommended it, and within 3 minutes I was saying to myself "This is just like Most Haunted Live" So is it well known in England that these "live" shows are just fake like in ghostwatch? I live in the U.S. and was just curious as to how people react to these live shows.

Thanks for the response. Yeah you can tell Ghostwatch is fake , but probably back in 92 it looked real. I used to watch Most Haunted all the time, but recently stopped watching just because some of the people annoyed me and after everything that has happened before if it was truly real they would get more coverage in there camera angles, so they can prove with out a doubt it is real. I thought it was just funny how it looked like Most Haunted copied ghostwatch for there live shows.

I watch Most Haunted and the Live shows with my wife, since MH began and my wife commented last night, " Yvette Fielding and the Most Haunted team have always filmed the show's in the west country of the UK and up north, but never in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and our surrounding area, we have ghosts around here, why don't they do some investigations in this part of the country, " any ideas anyone ?

Deferenz - I'm afraid you're wrong to say that the BBC stated that Ghostwatch was a live/real event. They didn't. In fact they were so concerned about people thinking it was real that they had a statement read out before it started to say it was a fictional story and was pre-recorded. They even added opening credits with the screenwriters name - a definite clue that the show wasn't real. As if the cast list in the Radio Times wasn't enough of a hint...

Sadly though people are gullible and those that missed the first two or three minutes (and hadn't seen the programme's listing in the TV guides as "Fiction") thought it was real and likely only complained afterwards because they felt stupid. As proven by the recentish "Sachsgate" affair, the British public are only too happy to moan endlessly - after all why simply turn off what you're watching when you can sit all the way through and b*tch about it later.

Personally give me Ghostwatch anyday. It was more exciting and had a much better script and acting than Most Haunted. :)

I don't know if you ARE actually British or American, but sachgate was valid because ross and brand acted like braindead morons. You don't ring up an OAP and respected actor on air and tell him one of you has had sex with his niece ffs.
If you think that's acceptable there's something wrong with your morals boyo.
