Yvette Needs To Stop Screeching and Crying

What is wrong with Yvette Fielding? she is supposed to be a paranormal expert fronting her own show? and yet she acts like a little kid who is having her first paranormal experience. Seriously all the time "oh my god, did you hear that"
"what was that? I am scared" and the time she thought somebody laughed in her ear she started crying. I don't get it. Why do they go out of their way to look for ghosts yet start screaming as soon as they hear the slightest thing? Yvette is the worst of them all. I remember the first time I saw the show, I thought who is that annoying woman and why is she there? I didn't realize at the time this woman was the woman who had helped to create the show. And how can any of us viewers hear anything while she's screaming her head off? and the way she says "sleep tight" at the end is supposed to be scary.

You'll understand why shes so much of a wuss if you look at her TV background. And she's no more a 'paranormal expert' then I am! She's a former kids TV presenter from the 80s and 90s who was fading into obscurity before she/or whoever thought up this show and it became her pension fund.

She was on Blue Peter which is the tamest kids show in the history of the world and that's why she acts like she does. Because she has never experienced 'grown up' presenting before and is frequently freaked out.

She also seems to act a lot of the time like she's over-compensating for there being a lack of ghostly material on the show. I hope I've given you a decent amount of background into Yvette and her psyche!

Thanks for the info. I wonder how she got to do the show in the first place? constantly saying "DID U HEAR THAT" is pointless. lol

I love paranormal shows but this one is so annoying, I wonder how it has stayed on as long as it has. I'm sure Yvette is a very nice person but my god, she screams at EVERYTHING!! Couldn't they find someone a little calmer, between the screaming and the giggling, it's just too much, thank goodness the girls on Ghost Hunters don't act like this, it really makes what could be a good show unwatchable.
