Sweet but corny...

It's a feel-good movie, very interesting, with some unbelievably corny scenes (proposal through Hanks, etc). Far from Spielberg's worst, but not in his Top 5 for sure.

It's not that feel-good. Viktor doesn't get the girl, and the entire climax is rather bittersweet, especially when you consider Gupta sacrificed his freedom for Viktor.

Originality needs a reboot.

How is it a feel-good movie? When everyone other than Viktor acted like a total douchebag. This is actually a representative of how Americans treat foreigners.
