Spoiler question, also involves spoiler for Inception

At the very end when the presses were rolling, the knowing looks and smiles among the team who pulled it off gave me the same vibe as the end of Inception in the airport lobby after they got off the flight.

I think Nolan shamelessly lifted it.

I think I could find other movies older even than State of Play where that is used. Doesn't Ronin have such a moment, for example?

I didn't see Ronin but I wouldn't doubt much has been lifted from 47 Ronin, not necessarily in State of Play, because everyone lifts stuff from the Japanese film masters. I'm sure you know this as well as I do.
