Jedi Knight 4? Granted!

In youtube I found the video from IGN website of Jedi Knight 4. The voice of characters and probably most of the game is finished. It will be released next or after next year. However, I didn't find any information about this game in Lucasarts yet. Probably they keep it in secret. You know why. Pay attention at the Lucasarts' Thrillville. First time when I have heard about this game is in May of 2006, or half a year before the official release when the game was already finished. I hope Jedi Knights are back. yeeaaaah

That was mighty sexy.

I'm not totally sure, but I think it was announced that there would be some sort of a Jedi game released next year to go along with Star Wars: A New Hope's 30th anniversary.

For all those who would like a link:

SpeedRacer2K? Can you send me Mysteries of the Sith cutscenes to my e-mail, Please? Yes or No?

reply

No. As I replied in one of your other threads, I don't know where my MotS CD is (I moved, and I haven't seen the box it was in since), and even if I did, the cutscenes rarely loaded properly. Trust me, the cutscenes aren't nearly as important in MotS as they were in Jedi Knight.

It would be a really good idea to make movies based on Dark Forces/Jedi Knight
series. To do this it is really important to know the storyline of cutscenes But right now never mind about old games yet. We have to pray about that Jedi Knight 4 will be released. Thanks for response.

reply

I could see a TV series being made out of it, but not movies.

I hate to burst everyone's bubble (including mine), but that's not Jedi Knight 4. It's an unrelated game set in the Dark Times era when the Jedi survivors are still being hunted down.

As for the real (hopefully) Jedi Knight 4... It really needs to be made and set in either the NJO or the early Legacy Era. Kyle Katarn must also be the main, controlable character.

Maybe it is a prequel

The link Speedracer provided, whatever it is its way cool! It might not be Jedi Knight 4 but regardless I want it to be released so I can enjoy it! I hope they make it for X Box 360 and PS 3 as I like those systems better than the PC. I also hope they make a KOTOR III. As it is KOTOR III and Jedi Knight 4 are both high on my list.

reply

I hope they make it but yeah Kyle definately has to be the playable character, Academy was pretty dumb, the story i mean. It was fun while it lasted...

Whatever it is, it looks great! I hope the character movement and lightsaber moves is more like JK Outcast then Battlefront.

It's called "Force Unleashed" I think, there should be info on it at wikipedia.

Hey guys, I went to google and typed Jedi Knight IV, there was one website which said that "Jedi Knight 4 in production"

reply

I typed Jedi Knight IV on Google search and I found the website which said that

"Jedi Knight IV-in production". I do not know, maybe it is fake.

well its now august 2007 and now news has ben announced.

reply

Which news about Jedi Knight 4? Where?

"It is gotta be easier than this"
Kyle Katarn, Dark Forces II

reply

I think it turned into the force unleashed.

reply

False rumor. The only thing resembling this is "Star Wars Force Unleashed" which has no connection to the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series, and is console only.

It's not even in the same spirit as these games, though it is visually similar (at least in single player) to the last two games in the series.

So the real next JK game still remains a fantasy!

I take some of that back... there IS going to be a port of "The Force Unleashed" for the PC, which is supposed to come out "fourth Quarter 2009."

Two release dates have been given... October 23, 2009, which is what Amazon.com currently lists for the PC version, and November 3, 2009, which is listed for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions.

Rumor has it there's no multiplayer to speak of (only the Wii version had minimal dueling options anyway), and the PC version is a straight port of the consoles.

Essentially it's the same as the game that was released on consoles last year, except that it has a few bonus levels added (that take place after the rest of the game, but can be played right away, or are "alternate realities" in the storyline).

So even though this is cool news, it's not nearly the game fans of the JK series were hoping for, sorry...

It's called "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition."

So, the game is out for PC. High system requirements and some bugs, but it's there (was released Nov 3rd). No multiplayer. The PC version is virtually identical to the Xbox 360 version of "Ultimate Sith Edition." The only differences are that it has keyboard & mouse support, and you can sort of hack the game with some tools released by fan editors.
