Does Leslie Neilson have this effect on anyone else?

Everything he does and says cracks me up.

The best part in this movie, if not one of the funniest things i've ever seen is when he's talking at the UN and he ends up naked. I cry of laughter everytime I see it, can't control myself, not even my bowels...

Too much information....
And yes, that scene is hilarious!
How's this gonna work if you don't do what I say?

One of his classic movies is The Naked Gun. The movie is hilarious from start to finish, but I'd have to say that I always crack up when: he messes up the National Anthem at the baseball game, and when he is scaling the building after setting Vincent Ludwick's office on fire. "Sexual assualt with a concrete dildo!"

Groovy out

One of his funniest lines in the movie: "what's the difference between a Belgian and a lump of dog *beep*

I agree about The Naked Gun. In fact, TNG 33 1/3: The Final Insult was one of the last movies I saw with my dad before he died of lung cancer.

There's a lot of things that Leslie does in his recent movies that are only funny because it's him. The great thing about him is that, no matter how awful the script is that they give him or how bad the actors around him are, he still continues to deliver his lines with the same deadpan style as in Airplane! and The Naked Gun. If something isn't funny, it's never because of him, but because of the script.
I remember on the commentary for Superhero Movie, during the scene where Rick tells his uncle about his superpowers, Craig Mazin said something like "Only Leslie Nielsen can stab someone in the stomach with a knife and it'll be funny." I think that sums up the recent Nielsen perfectly. Of course, he was even better in the earlier days because the scripts and and everyone around him were hilarious too.

I'd like to begin by saying f-ck Lance Armstrong.

You are correct and he was funny. He also was a great drama actor before turning in these comedy classics. It was the way he delivered the lines or how he was moving around while saying the lines. Sometimes they were so funny, like one person said he was funny even if the movie was bad. An example of that would be spy hard or the scifi spoof he did where he was a cop and bumbling around during the movie called 2001: a space travesty. THE tv show that the Naked Gun movies was called Police Squad and it didn't win over viewers but if you can find the episodes you could see how the movie format was better.

I promise you that not one man on the force will rest until the men who did this are caught.
Now, let's grab some lunch.

It will be a truly sad day when that man leaves us.

The only movie scene that rivals this one for sheer "LOL" quality is the fight scene in Borat

That was one of the funniest and best scenes out of the movie. He's completely oblivious that the ray gun vaporized his clothes and naked! And he's freaking out everyone else! LOL! Then they lose their clothes and run around in a panic! I laugh so hard that I need a paper bag to breath afterwards.

And not to mention his trademark "Oh my God!"
