BAAAAD movie!

WOW! I hated this movie so much, I have actually begun posting replies to all the people who think that this film is the bee's knees. What was their budget? Like 10 thousand dollars or something? Where did this guy get this script? Did he think of it on his own or did he steal it from the drunken homeless guy that sleeps infromt of the church during the week? God, I thought I had seen bad. I mean, I will watch a movie that didn't have a big budget but had a cool idea, and I will give it compliments for trying to pull off something so cool with such little money but in this movie; no one even tried in this one. The director purposley makes the movie so ambiguous, the 'ambiguously gay duo' seems less ambuguous than this. I think this is just a sad attempt at art. I mean, this guy makes this film so badly that intelligent people are lead to believe that it is chalk full of symbolism because they cannot accept the fact that it is just a bad movie.
Anyway, I gladly await any responses to this post.

Todd Solondz spent his life-savings on this film because no studio would back it.
He also wrote it.
I'm sure Solondz has slept in front of a church.
You don't know what art is.
I don't know where you came up with that symbolism *beep* If there's symbolism, there's symbolism. There's no such thing as "believing" in it, and the fact that you're implying that people tried doing that leads me to believe that you're probably the one looking for something and failed to "find" it so you take your lack of intelligence out on the people of this movie and the movie itself.

This movie is absolutely beautiful. You're probably used to traditional Hollywood films. You've been brainwashed into thinking that there has to be "this and that" to make a good movie but the simple truth is that there doesn't have to be anything but heart and Todd Solondz puts his absolute heart into this movie and that is art, and that is something Hollywood won't give you. Hollywood will censor, shelter and mask every means of artistic expression because it doesn't apply to the broad audience.

So yeah, in your opinion, in the minds of the mainstream audience, this is a baaaad movie.

I've always hated that 'if you don't like this movie you didn't understand it' elitist hogwash. I haven't seen this movie bu I know your argument makes no sense. Heart alone doesn't equal a good movie, heart and talent and a good cast and crew make a good movie. There is nothing wrong with the OP for not liking this film, nor has he been brainwashed by Hollywood. If he didn't like it, he didn't like it. Get your head out of your ass.
