actually, not that unrealistic

This movie isn't that unrealistic, on second viewing. If the president ran for mayor within 3 days of leaving office you actually would have the press on it like mad dogs, and the town would see it as much less of a deal. I thought the whole thing was far-fetched and threw reality out the window for the sake of plot devices but on second viewing, i think it works out pretty plausibly.
