starved himself for a mediocre film ??

I guess this is an extreme example of method acting, immersion into a role. Tom Hanks did something similar for his role in Castaway, lost a tremendous amount of weight. I rember reading somewhere that his doctor told him if he evar did something that stupid again, he would permanent wreck his health or maybe even die. Bale went evan further into starvation, I wondar if it caused him any chronic health problems.

Have heard Daniel Day Lewis is anothar supreme method actor, but I don’t think he’s done anything so extreme to prepare for a role.
