Which is better?

Which film is better: this or the 1991 "Lucy and Desi: Before the Laughter?"

Thanks for your reply. I watched this one yesterday, but have seen pieces of the other one. I agree, Danny Pino was absolutely amazing. I watch "Cold Case" and he's in it, so I didn't think I'd be able to watch it seriously and separate the characters after watching that so long. But he was awesome. Rachael York did a good job as Lucy, too, and I really like that they showed how she got to where she was. But I'll have to watch the Francis Fisher one to give a full opinion of which one I like better. I'm sure I'll like one for certain things better and the other for different things.

They should have gotten Julie Cox to play Lucy. I was watching this 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea adaptation, and she played the character Sophie in it - and reminded me a lot of Lucy - expressions/eyes, and same nose as Lucille Ball, lol. All she needed was stark red hair, which is easy to attain with some henna rinse ;-P

This one for sure. The quality of the acting is excellent.

I think the actors from the first one looked more like Lucy and Desi, even though the actor who played Desi didn't didn't have a very good accent. I do think the actors in this movie did a pretty good job sounding more like Lucy and Desi.

Don't play games with a girl who can play better.

Both are good for what they are. I think they bookend each other
