This is what an actual strangling looks on camera?

It looks so incredibly fake. My point being is that, realism, popularized by hacks like Nolan, Fincher, Tarantino, is massively overrated and quite simply not needed. There is no need to jeopardize a person's life, for a movie, and specially if these are the shitty results. Richard Burton choking Elizabeth Taylor in Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? is endlessly more believable and realistic than the piece of shit choking above and I assure you there was no real choking in that film, although Mike Nichols was sadist behind the camera, just like this fucker too, so sad.

I have to say I'm very disappointed in Hollywood and America as a whole. I come from a third world country and let me tell you, these are third world country practices. It pains me to see people being abused and exploited in such a way in the US, it's pathetic.

You know the actors involved were German right?

reply

it's a sexy choking scene

reply

Yeah, strangling is a loooong drawn out process that is perhaps one of the worst ways to go. Nothing on film could ever come close to the horrifying reality though, thank god.

what do you mean?? diane kruger was strangled till she passed out, what you see on camera is real. The point being is that, it looks ironically, fake as hell.

reply

So you are complaining that something real looks fake?

Also, who in their right mind gets this worked up over a strangling scene?

reply

I guess you don't get the point.

reply

You have a point?

Here’s a piece of trivia for you. When she’s being strangled the hands that you see choking her are Tarantino’s hands.

reply

yes I know. That alone should have ended up his career but lo and behold, here we are.

Doesn't it take like 4 minutes to strangle someone to death?
