was a bit confusing..
Ok so after Sam dances w/ her father, he allows for James to cut in. He walks back to his wife and tells her "Everyone deserves a second chance..."
Was he referring to James getting his job back as an agent? OR to James and Sam giving things another try?

Also after Sam leaves, one of the other agents tells James that Sam will be back for spring or summer break (I forget..)
So does that mean that these two will start thing up again then? Wouldn't dating the President's daughter while working for him also be breaking the rules? Wouldn't he get suspended and/or discharged all over again?

Confused...

It seems he meant both. Pres obviously gave James another chance to be a Secret Service agent, and James even got promoted to protecting the President himself. Pres also must not care much if James and Sam get together.

When Dylan tells James she'll be back for Spring Break, I think it's evident something will happen between James and Sam. If the President doesn't mind James getting friendly with his daughter, as long as James performs his duties as far as protecting the Pres, there's not much the director of the Secret Service would be able to do about it.

I found all of this confusing as well. I wasn't sure at the end of the movie whether James was still an agent or not, though it did imply that he would start seeing Samantha again.

Ok you boneheads!!! James gets his job back and a second chance to make it work with Sam without all the deception. Is that really so hard to get. James' last scene on screen is him taking his post with the other secret service agents who are protecting the Pres. This is all pretty straightforward.

I THOUGHT THE END SUCKED!!! I WANTED IT TO END AS THEM BEING A COUPLE. Cause clearly their wont be a sequel, so who cares about the whole "with Romance in the air, James will be there" junk!

When the end said, "but thats another story"

I screamed "Why don't you *beep* tell it then!" Seriously that was all I was interested in not whether she got to go to freaking college or not. That had the potential to be a great film but the plot went from interesting to awful.

Wish I had a job like that. Totally blow the assignment and get a promotion out of it.
