He was set to play Sawyer in NBC'S Lost and backed out for THIS film? Big mistake!

What, sign himself up for a TV show, which would seriously hamper future acting jobs (including the one that's probobly going to win him an Oscar), as opposed to taking a nice paycheck to direct a throwaway movie and leave his schedule open? I'll take the fluffy kids flick over being locked in with a terribly overated TV show.

I never thought I'd see the day when "First Daughter" and "wise decision" were being used in the same sentence without "was not a" separating them.

i thought first daughter was sorta cute. i used to love lost, then it got totally stupid. i tottally cannot see forest whitaker playing sawyer, thats a scary picture for me....

I had no idea he directed this.

I can't picture him on Lost. The characters were originally written quite differently than they ended up because they found the right person for the role. Lost just wouldn't be the same with Forest Whitaker as Sawyer. I had no idea he was ever involved in Lost.

Lost is on ABC.

I can't imagine him as Sawyer when I think Josh Holloway has been perfect in the part.

If he did Lost, he would also had lost out on Last King of Scotland which got him the best actor Oscar.

LOST > First Daughter.

Also, LOST is a six season Television Show and this is a 90 minute movie. There is no comparison.
