No, not because he owned a famous dog, but he had this rock star attitude, about liking the parties and Stu thinking he was cool. So, is anywhere mentioned that he was famous, or an singer or anything?

No he himself was not famous he was only famous through the dog.The guy from the band knew the dog and that is how it started and then i think they just got along because both of Lola's parents were more laid back than the conventional parents and therefore it is believable that he could fit in at the party. If I remember correctly Stu was quite drunk at the time also so the idea of a guy with a famous dog would seem pretty cool to him.
shareI think he is a children's writer or an illustrator. He includes his dog in the books, so the dog is more easily recognizable than he is.
