I hope nobody tries to have sex against the trees like Naomi Watts and Mark Ruffalo's characters did in this movie because it's dangerous. Wood ticks often crawl onto people who sit on or lean against tree trunks and the ticks can give you lyme disease.
They should have had a warning at the end of the credits...!
not to sound like a total dork but this film was set in Washington and we don't have ticks & that sort of thing here...i think bark burn would have been their biggest threat :)
shareThe only reason here, in MD, we would get Lyme is from Deer Ticks. Not trees. But nonetheless, that might be painful-against the tree..hmmm
shareMy wife and I talked about this when we were watching. My wife said "yeah right, she would be all cut up from the bark on the tree." Maybe that's part of the thrill for them. Who knows?
