Which do you think is better clone wars 2003 or 2008

I think the 2003 version is better, because:

1. The classic animation looks better & serious than the CGI version. Although there's more on-screen violence in the 2008 version, the characters look silly & more geared towards kids, than adults & kids. I guess they need to sell more toys.

2. The 2003 version is short & although I would like to see more of it, at least it didn't try to stretch out the series until it gets itself cancelled. After the 2nd season, I didn't follow the 2008 version & I'm glad. I am sure a lot of fans are disappointed when they found out it got cancelled with a cliffhanger ending.

Despite this, one thing I love about the 2008 version is that they individualized the clone troopers - we care more for them than in the movies.

I know this is old post, but I still have to answer, to give opposing point than others who have answered.

Newer, 2008 version is better. Because newer version is more character and plot oriented, where older series is more explosion and action oriented. But of course, these are very personal opinions, which is why it's kind of stupid to which is best. Asking which do you like more would be the correct form of the question. If someone actually wants more objective analysis on which is best, then all he needs to do is to look imdb score. 2003 has 7.8, 2008 has 7.9, so 2008 is better.
