The complete series coming to DVD? UPDATES

I put Line of Fire on DVD on Yahoo and it came back with a result on a website called DVD rebellion...

Here's what I learned:
Line of Fire will come to DVD on three DVDs.
This set will include all 11 aired episodes. 13 episodes were produced however ONLY the 11 aired episodes will be included. I think this is horrible.
If they went to the trobule of producing 13 episodes Why not give fans all 13 episodes?

ABC horribly mishandled this series. NYPD Blue was going off the air the next year WHY not keep "Line of Fire going and give line of Fire NYPD Blue's timeslot? I do like how the producers had a chance to end the series somewhat by having Janet Malloy offer to give the FEDS inside information on her husband. The ABC Premiere movie of the week treatment that the two hour series finale got made me think there was more "Line of Fire" in ABC's future. So many unanswered questions like the fate of Agent Roy Revelle..

Here's hoping ABC gives Rod Lurie's "Commander in Chief" a real chance.
Don't you guys think ABC owes Rod Lurie better treatment, i mean he is the man that gave the world "The Contender".

FYI Line of Fire alumni are starring with Geena Davis in "Commander in Chief" Julie-Anne Embry (Agent Jen Samson) as A secret service agent
Liesle Hope (SAC Lisa Cohen) as The Attoney general
Kristen Shaw (Janet Malloy) is also involved in the project in some way.
- Stay turned this fall for "Commander in Chief".

Do you know when the show will be out on dvd????

I was thinking about downloading it off of kazaa or limewire but if its coming to dvd I can wait

reply

I suppose you know by now that Rod Lurie was relieved of his "Commander" duties and replaced by Steven Bochco? More crappy treatment, what a shame. Like all the broadcast networks, when it comes to shame, ABC has none.

i need to have this show back who do write to?

reply

Uh, is it out yet?

reply

So far, no dice on the DVDs. It's a shame -- I really enjoyed the show, and I'd buy a box set of it in a heartbeat. It was fun while it lasted.

reply

damn! But I have a good feeling that one day it will be available. let's keep our fingers crossed!

I'm in the UK, so the chances of the DVD ever coming out here are horribly remote, which is a shame because I just adore Leslie Bibb :(

I picked up this series at dvdrshoppe.com. They have a lot of series that were canceled, or are hard to find on DVD. Pretty good quality, and the two unaired episodes are included.....

reply

How much did this cost you? How do the discs come? i.e. boxed, labeled, etc?

reply

The discs came just in sleeves. They are labeled with the title of the show and episode numbers. I watched them all and they worked fine. I think they cost like $40, but there was a shipping charge, also. I don't remember exactly, it was a while ago....

They really need to hurry and get this on quality DVD though. It was a great series that was canceled way before it had the time develop all of its story lines.
