Special Features on the DVD

Did anyone here see the episode commentaries and extras on the DVD?
I thought they were pretty interesting....

For the "Possession" episode, the writers mentioned how they made a suble reference to Mantecore in this episode. They wanted to show he was shunned and ignored by the other animals for what he did to Siegfried and Roy. In the episode they referred to Mantecore as "The Certain Tiger" and that that tiger did it to Roy "As a joke." I thought that was kinda inappropriate because Siegfried and Roy immediately forgave Mantecore and it was an accident, not an attack. I know the writers are trying to be funny but I think that crossed the line.

Another thing shown on the extras for the DVD was a storyboarded episode called "The Lost Tale." I really didn't like how this episode was written. Jessica Simpson was a guest star in this ep. and there was one part where Siegfried stripped his clothes in front of her and said "Let's be naked together." That's so gross...I hate how the writers made Siegfried and Roy seem like pompous, dirty old men. Also, there was a part where Jessica Simpson told Roy that she rescued her dog from the shelter and Roy got all defensive and said sarcastically, "Well, I saved 14 animals from extinction and have a huge preservation program for tigers! But here you can have my badge. You deserve it more than me!" To me, they seemed so conceited and out of character. I certainly hope they're not like that in real life. I'm sorry to have said that but it really bothered me and made me think less of this show!
