The pilot?
I downloaded the series from a torrent site and there was a pilot episode along with the 13 episodes listed here, making it 14 episodes in all. Why was the pilot never aired? It's not even mentioned at TV.com.

There are two pilots on the DVD. One at the beginning and an alternate version right at the end. I think them putting it at the end makes it pretty clear which version the production team considers the actual start of the show.
