Well, part of the investment per episode is the initial contracts with the voice talents, the creation of all of the environments and character designs on CGI and such. Of course they will have to re-hire the popular voice talents, but for a second season most of the CGI material can be used over and over. In 2D animation you still have to make all or most of the drawings that you will see in the final episode..
In that sense, the following FotP seasons shouldn't be by far so much expensive. In another thread I'd seen that ABC was willing to pay 1.6 million per episode (I think that NBC was paying 2 million). I still think that's really a lot of money, but ah well..
I really wish they make a second season, this time a full one... (season 1 was actually just half of a season) and that they animate 'the lost tale'.
One thing we will never see again will be Daryl Sabbarah voicing Hunter.. Boys change their voice, eventually..
I wish they would make more seasons, too. And who would voice Hunter since Daryl Sabara cannot return, now that he has gotten older? They must bring the show back with brand-new episodes and more and more seasons!!! Hopefully, they will! And hopefully, they will get somebody else to voice Hunter now!
