.hack's Confusing Plot

Frankley I liked it. I don't get why everyone else doesn't. I think the confusing plot was done on intentionally, to keep you watching, to keep you vewing. Some of you are just so used to all the answers being handed to you on a silver platter, but it's boring that way. ***Spolier*** I liked in the end, they still kept you in suspense, obviously to make up your own mind. **End spolier** I mean don't you want the creators, to acknolwedge that you are intlellegent, have a mind, and are capable of reaching your own conclusion? I hate it when they make it look like us teenagers, DON'T have a shred of intellegence, and that they have to explain everything in so much stupid usless detail. Plus the confusing plot, kept it unpredictable. In some other shows, you can second guess what will happen next. For Example in Pokemon, watching one episode, you can tell what will happen next. That is all I have to say on this.

eh, i didn't actually get to see the last few episodes (my 'rents cut off the cable), but from what you're saying, the ending sounds fairly typical of japanese endings: you're not supposed to know everything, and sometimes (as in a kurosawa film i just saw), they end it before the climax. still, i definitely liked the way they kept you in the dark about what was going on, especially in the beginning, when all you knew was the char's personalities, and not even where they were, what they were doing, etc. not like the new one, liminality or whatevr. it sucks my nuts. they tell you too much, and take away the whole idea of mysteriousness present in sign. it's way too kiddy, and personally, a blasphemy to the .hack name. what do you think?

reply

You may be forgetting that //SiGN is the first part of an entire project.
//SiGN leads into the .hack games, and the games/liminality(Liminality shows you what's happening offline while you're playing the .hack games) lead into the manga (which really isn't all that important in retrospec)
You have to view/play the whole thing to truly get it.

Well I agree that this whole series is pretty confusing but you watch it and learn it a little more... I'm not even turning 13 yet and its my favorite show. If you havnt watched all the episodes go to www.animecrave.com . you have to make an account and such as that. I dont believe the multimedia is working currently, they need donations.

This of course is my Fav. Anime, and I love it. I've seen all the Episdoes. And that's clever to throw you off if you miss one. It keeps you watching. That's the whole point of mystery

The way this show was portrayed in the commercials where I live made it look like this was supposed to be an action-packed rollercoaster ride. After watching a couple of episodes, I was thinking "Gee, those commercials were pretty misleading."... BUT... even after that impression, I still actually like this show. I guess it's the writing that I like, even though some say the writing's bad. But... that's just me.

I don' think that it's confusing at all... then again, I've seen .Hack//Sign about 4 times over while it was on, not to mention I beat all the games, watched all of Liminality and I've seen most of the new series too.
