viewing order?

So, I am wondering how important it is to watch this series in order... I rented it from blockbuster online, but they sent them to me out of order (even though I prioritized them properly and they were all available at the same time). so, I now have volumes 3 and 4... should I watch them, or send them back and wait for them to send volumes 1 and 2?
