MORE Creepy Character Design !!

I had the opportunity - nay, the displeasure, to view some of these character designs on the old Animated-Movies site before they went down... And let's just say: Creepy. Icky. Birds with Chins. Ugh. Wow.

Some of them look okay (Like Valiant) but there were some images there that I'll not soon forget, though I'd like to.

Designers, turn people into animals. Not the reverse !!

And what sort of animals were there? Only pigeons? Only birds? (Sorry, Mr.Kingsley is an eagle... or falcon?)
And what sort of animal does John Cleese voice? I can picture him as an old seagull or an owl. Or a goat...
And Hugh Laurie?
Come on tell us something!

With Deepest Respect,
Gyurkovics Máté

I don't remember who voiced whom, but there were several pigeon characters
(Including one feminine-looking one) that looked like a human face wearing one of those fake/costume bird beaks - you know the kind with an elastic string that goes around your head? Like that, with a flat face, high forehead, and a CHIN under the beak. It was quite gross!
The falcon character looked pretty good because, well... he actually looked like a falcon. And he wears a hat- one of those Captain's hats like a pilot would wear.
I don't remember seeing any non-bird characters. One of the pigeons seemed to have his leg joints bending the wrong way in one of the pictures... I hope it was just an odd viewpoint, and not that they have grotesquely "humanized" that as well to make it bend like a human leg...

I do not know what characters you saw, maybe they were preliminary designs but the pigeons look pretty much like pigeons.

Look mate, you're totally wrong.

The character design is very very good, and the characters look like animals with slightly human sensibility -- their anatomy is 100% animal.

The characters are mostly pigeons, but there are three falcons, two magpies, a seagull, and a couple of mice.

Here's the cast/characters:

Ewan McGregor - Valiant, the 'little pigeon that could'
Ricky Gervais - Bugbuster, a dirty, smelly, con-man pigeon, comic relief
John Cleese - Mercury, a POW pigeon
Jim Broadbent - Pigeon training seargent
Rupert Everett - Lofty - a very posh pigeon
Tim Curry - Gen. Von Talon - the main bad falcon

Ben Kingsley is not in this movie anymore -- Tim Curry replaced him.

Gen Von Talon does not wear a hat. None of the birds look like a 'bird - mask'

the characters are mainly pigeons and the bad guys are falcons.

I think John Cleese is a pigeon.

Well, I know that I told You already that I'm a Hungarian, so please excuse me if my question is a dumb one, but what does P.O.W. stand for?
And where did You get all those information (the names) and where have You seen the character designs?

GyM.

*EDIT No. 1: Yeah, I suddenly raelised, that the letters P. O. W. stand for "prisoner of war". Khm, I was kinda dumb, not to realise it earlier...*
