When the plane crashes into France and one of the pigeons dies because he can't get his parachute box free, it made me so angry because why do they need a plane or a parachute at all?
They are pigeons.
With wings.
They could just fly there.
And to make it worse, they fly loads in the film, but go there on a plane? What?
Um, except that pigeons WERE parachuted behind enemy lines during WWII to communicate with the French Resistance. As much endurance as a homing pigeon might have, its not infinite and giving them a hand by flying them over the channel actually makes sense. Might want to brush up on your history before you start nitpicking.
shareOkay fair enough, fly them to France on the plane, but by the time they got there their stamina would be high and they would have lots of energy because they had been sat down for a while, so they could if needed fly out of the plane, and not just die because a parachute gets stuck?
