Pan + Scan DVD?

Hello, wondering if anyone here can help me out... I've been meaning to buy the Notre Musique DVD, but it seems the DVD is only available with the 1:33 aspect ratio.. my question is did the theatrical release of this film have this aspect ratio as well, or is this the case of Wellspring pan and scanning the film for DVD?

It was shot and released in 1X1:33. The DVD was not pan and scanned.

yeah when the film opens, it says that the film will be shown in the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.33:1
