Are there velocoraptors in the stampede scene?

Or are they different dinosaurs that look like Velociraptors?

Hard to tell. Every time I watch that scene I doze off because it's so unnecessarily long and drug out. When I saw it in the theater I actually got up, went to pee, and came back and the scene was still playing!

They're not Velociraptors - faaar too big. Velociraptors are only three feet high. Deinonychus is only five feet, while Utahraptor are six feet high and twenty feet long. According to Peter Jackson, these particular animals are called Venatosaurus, an evolved version of a dromaeosaur species.

You have a problem with tallish velociraptors but not a 30 foot gorilla?
