If by "hot" you mean sweaty and greasy, reeking of cigarette smoke, I guess you're right. I just wanted to see somebody shove him in a shower the whole time. But he did look his part...tormented, sick, and halfway into Hell already.
If you want hot, watch "A Walk In the Clouds." The scene with him walking behind his "wife" spreading warmth throughout the vineyard is smokin'.
