Only 10% Fresh?!

I'm starting to get concerned about my taste in film. My opinion of several recent movies is completely at odds with the majority of professional critics:

- Blood Diamond , a movie that I thought would sweep the oscars when I saw it, I was that impressed, barely made Fresh status at 64% on RottenTomatoes.com
-Perfume: The story of a Murderer was one of my favourites of last year and it scored only 41% on the tomatometer (cream of the crop).

Now I can add 10th and Wolf. I saw it last night on TMN and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought Brad Renfro did an amazing job. James Marsden never looked so good, he should always keep his hair short. Ribisi was a bit over the top playing a young Brando-as-corleone type but it fit the tone of the story which I thought was also pretty tight. Hell, I even thought Tommy Lee was hilarious. Anyway, I was really surprised when I saw that it rated a measly 10% Fresh.

Do you think it's a sign of the early-onset of Alzheimer's or something? ;-)

Such drama! Are you sure you're not Greek? - Queen Diana (Roar)

I just checked the site, and 10th and Wolf is actually at 17% right now, but I'm with you on saying this movie doesn't deserve quite that low. I mean, seriously, even Spice World got a 25%! I watched it last night, and although this wasn't the greatest movie ever, it was entertaining for the most part, with really good performances from Renfro and Perabo. This movie didn't bring a whole lot to the table by way of originality or uniqueness, so I guess that's one reason why it's getting a lot of flak. I thought it was okay for what it was, though.

All critics suck! Thats why i listen to them and laugh or dont even read what they say because they are right like once out of a 100 times. This movie was great so dont believe what you hear from others.

ahaha I don't think this movie was that original. During the entire movie, it just reminded me of The Departed. The plot, rats, cops, etc. All of it screamed The Departed and the Scorsese film was executed MUCHHHH better.

It defintitely doesn't deserve that low of a score. I thought the acting was fine all the way around (especially Ribisi and Renfro), but the story just wasn't something that grabbed me.
