i live two streets down from tom's diner which was changed to 10th and wolf. My boyfriend stole the menu that they used on the set because well i dont know. Anyhow it was a busy couple of days and i hope this movie's great.

My brother and I found their set once by the river... it wasn't THE SET but there were the film trucks/trailers and a crane, all shut down of course - ready to be used for the next day they planned on filming.

Most of the Living Dead movies were filmed in Pennsylvania close to da' burgh because the guy was from Shady side. I have not seen this movie though. I heard it was bad but I might be able to stand it just to see Brad and Giovanni.

Land of the dead was supposed to be filmed in Pittsburgh, but when George tried to get some tax breaks so that he could afford to film here they gave him the run around, so instead of getting a lesser amount of money the city got none, as it all went to Canada.
I was in the "Historic" South Side a few times when shooting was going on for 10th and Wolf. I didn't see any of the actors, but all the crew that I bumped into were really cool. And Tom's rocks...the gyro omlett, good stuff.
Duh, PGH was huge in film making because it has plenty of different looks....
but, it is just to expensive now, that is why only small budgets go there. there hasn't been a film over 20 mill, since mothman prophises... ah well i can't spell.....
Hahah! For real, I was so confused, I was like "They changed the name of Tom's diner??? WHY!?!" I'm kind of annoyed that it was filmed in Pittsburgh but it is "set in Philly". Booooo hiss
shareFYI - When you're drinking in the southside and you see them filming a movie, don't start yelling "HEY ICEMAN!! ICCEEEMMAAAAAN!!" at the top of your lungs. The people working the movie get really pissed. We were politely escorted away by some large men.
shareI just about laughed my ass off when I saw Carson St. Plus, at the scene with Dash stabbing the other guy, I swear I saw the county jail in teh background.
