The semis on an outside court?

I think not. Someone didn't think this through hard enough, unless of course they weren't allowed to use centre or one. Then again, the finals were on centre. The mind boggles.

Agreed, they actually have this as a goof.

it could happen.

if the semis were rained off on the friday (and i mean not even started)
and rain came on the sat too- ladies finals day remember
if play started and it was quite late then in theory they might put a match on no 1 and the other on no 2

long shot, but that could actually happen.

They dicuss this on the commentary. They were well aware that in reality centre court or court 1 (the show courts) would be used for the semis but for cinematic reasons they wanted to keep centre court for the final.Court 1 was also too big an arena in terms of cinematic tension and all that so they decided not to use the show courts even though it was technically incorrect.
