(spoiler) Cheesiest line of the year award goes to......

Ben! "I am jealous as hell. I don't want to see you with gus gus, I don't want to see you with any other man because I am so unbloody hinged just being near you." (or something like that)

I think it is a cute movie but I always cringe at this line. He is incredibly sexy and they give him this as his big line? ugh. Disappointing. The ending is cute where she makes the big gesture but did they really have to run up the alley?

Luckily, I happen to like chick flicks and have watched this one more than once but it does have quite a cheese factor.

haha, i actually find that line so romantic :) but to each their own

eh, it's kind of cheesy, yeah, and seemed slightly out of character. but he's hot, he can say whatever and i still would barely hear it cuz i'm so distracted by his FACE.

But i think there have been cheesier lines...like in Twilight, when either Bella goes, "I dream about being with you forever." and it's a horribly delivered and i literally burst out laughing when i heard it. I think every line from twilight took the cheese award for me, actually...

but yeah. there's some serious cheese in Chasing Liberty.

"So, from time to time, I send Dwight faxes. From himself. From the future."

yeah there is some definite cheese in this movie, but that's what makes chick flicks haha I love them sooo much though! As for that specific line, I don't think it's the cheesiest. I thought it was a bit original as far as "love confessions" go in these movies haha and it definitely is helped coming out with a sexy british accent

"this administration will bring new found ethics and transparency to Washington" - Barry Hussein Obammy

OOOPS... WAIT... DID YOU SAY CHEESY, I THOUGHT YOU SAID BULL *beep*

i actually like that line alot!'

cheesiest in this film is:

"You have cute morning hair"
"You have cute everything"
*cue kiss and sunrise*

i cringe at that haha

People rarely say stuff that they actually mean

That single line pretty much ruined the whole film. Not that it was a great film to being with. Almost everything in the movie was pretty much standard chick-flick stuff. The formulaic love story, cheesy dialogues, the hyperactive annoying teenage girl, the over-protective father, the European setting, the "trying-to-be-funny" sidekicks.

The only good and fresh thing about this movie was Matthew Goode. His stoic performance as Ben was the only "mature" thing in the movie. But that one line just destroyed it all. That single sentence turned Goode's character into just another soppy love-struck adolescent and made this movie go from "an okay" film to just another "cheesy chick-flick".
