I found it hard to watch this fim, I really prefer empty headed 'feel good' stories.
I like it that the message board is more interesting, to me, than the film.
I like it that the ending is discussed, the grandparents scene as
the message in the bottle makes sense to me. I do not remember the balloon.
I now equate the young man looking out to sea as a parallel
to the ending of Angel, where the older sister dies
and the younger one becomes lost in spirit.

At least the older brother paid the ferryman?
